US first lady Melania Trump wore a jacket with the words, "I really don't care, do u?", written on its back as she boarded a flight to a facility housing migrant children separated from their parents.

The unannounced visit came as US President Donald Trump said he was directing federal agencies to begin reuniting children and parents, a first step to implementing his executive order reversing a policy that had drawn global condemnation.
