他气势磅礴的排比、恰到好处的停顿、丰富的修辞、甚至是演讲时的手势，都被视为了英语演讲教科书一般的存在。

今天，他完成8年任期，进行了卸任演讲。对于许多人，这仿佛是自己英语老师的最后一堂课。

最后一次白宫晚宴上，他说：“千言万语化成两个字：奥巴马走了（Obama out）。”说话时，他做出和科比一样的飞吻动作，最后把麦克风扔到地上。

与奥巴马字正腔圆的演讲风格相比，他的继任者特朗普则仿佛是演讲届的一股泥石流，常常语出惊人，让人们大跌眼镜。

由于他独特的语言风格，老外甚至发明了一个新词——Trumplish，特朗普语。

特朗普式英语表达，可以用两个字形容：简单。由于他在长难句上比不过历届美国总统，所以有人发现，特朗普发明了一种特别的口技，他的演讲总是会有一些奇怪的声音发出来。

嗯...所以按照之前的逻辑，如果一个英语老师让一名高考生去背特朗普早前的演讲稿，那么，他将写出这样的作文：

I love studying very very much. My teachers are great. ohhhhh~yeah~Amazing people! And my classmates love me. waaaaa~papapa~I want to make them so happy. Like that. 

大致变成中文是：

我非常非常喜欢学习。我的老师很好。噢噢噢~~赞啊！他是个好人！而且我的同学都喜欢我。哇哇哇~啦啦啦~~我想给他们带来快乐。大概就是这个样子啦。

对此，中国英语老师应该跟白宫工作人员一样，内心是拒绝的

所以奥巴马和特朗普的演讲风格究竟不同在哪呢？

奥巴马说自己：

When I was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in Indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning.

美国有个用来界定文章难度的Flesch-Kincaid测试。经测试，特朗普的语言4年级小孩都能听懂。而奥巴马的语言是8年级的。

奥巴马经常说从句（这里放上英文，跟着感觉看就好）：

Americans （who sent a message to the world） that （we have never been just a collection of individuals or a collection of red states and blue states.）

嗯，这种从句套从句的模式，明显是中国英语高考的满分句子。

而特朗普则喜欢简单点。有研究说川普用的词都非常简单，简单到4年级小学生都能轻松听懂。

包括great、so、really、huge、sad、weak这样短小的词。尤其是在加强语气的时候，特朗普十分十分喜欢频繁地使用"十分"这类加强语气的词。

比如特朗普预言自己胜利：

We're going to win so much; you're going to be so happy.

我们会取得如此大的胜利，你们会如此地高兴。

We are going to make America so great again, maybe greater than ever before.
