Title:Cops Laughed at 'Drunk' Man Who Said a Pig Was Stalking Him. Until They Saw the Pig

Police in Ohio laughed at a man they believed to be drunk after he called authorities and claimed he was being stalked by a rogue pig.

Believing the man was hallucinating following a night of excessive drinking, given the phone call was placed at 5.26 a.m. on Saturday morning, cops thought that they would arrive on the scene to find an inebriated man and no hog in sight.

But reaching the scene they found one "very sober" man, and one very real pig.

In a post on the North Ridgeville Police department's Facebook page, officers described what happened when they responded to what they believed was just a drunken phone call.

"Night shift responded to the obviously drunk guy walking home from the bar at 5:26 in the morning. He was at least drunk enough to call the police on himself while hallucinating,"  the post said.

"Upon arrival, they found a very sober male walking eastbound on Center Ridge near Maddock Rd. from the actual Amtrak train station in Elyria, not the bar. Oh, and he was being followed by a pig. Yes, a pig,"  the post continued.

The post also explained that the pig had been  "wrangled"  into the back of a police vehicle and had been taken to the police kennels usually used for dogs, later adding an update that the pig had been reunited with its owner.

Police also shared a picture of the pig looking rather relaxed in the back of a police cruiser before being taken back to the station.

Strangely, the station also commented  "we should have learnt our lesson after the kangaroo incident,"  which poses the question  "What on earth was the kangaroo incident?"

As of Monday, the post had been shared more than 14,000 times and liked more than 27,000 times. Police have not said whether the owner of the pig was given a citation for the runaway animal.
